Before founding Al Alawi & Co, Ali Khamis Al Alawi had been a founding partner of Al Alawi and Mansoor Jamal & Co, a law firm in Oman. However after withdrawing from the partnership of Al Alawi and Mansor Jamal & Co, he decided to establish a full service and fully independent law firm, Al Alawi & Co based in Muscat.

Ali Khamis Al Alawi is the founder and Managing Partner of the firm. He originally established individual practice in 1982, is today one of the largest independent law firm with its headquarters based in Muscat and being totally focussed upon whole of the Gulf region and beyond.
