Doctorate of Law from the University of Paris, Bachelor of Laws from the University of Cairo.
Dr. Suleiman served on a UAE Special Committee appointed by the State for drafting various federal laws including the Commercial Law, Commercial Maritime Law and Commercial Companies Law. He has also served on number of arbitration panels including that of the Euro-Arab Chambers of Commerce, Paris; the American Arbitration Association; the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration; the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre, Bahrain; and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre.
Dr. Suleiman’s previous positions include: Petroleum Consultant for Legal and Economic Affairs to the Algerian Oil Company Sonatrach; Association at Tariki Oil Consultancy Firm, Beirut; Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Energy and Industry, Algeria, Director of the Legal Department at Saudi Arabian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Affairs.
Dr. Suleiman was General Counsel of the legal department of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for over 23 years and has been involved in legal and economic aspects of the oil industry for more than forty years through his employment in major oil producing nations of the Region.
Dr. Suleiman has written extensively on the legal and economic aspects of the International Petroleum Industry and has published three books and numerous articles for specialized journals.
Member of the Jordanian Bar Association; the International Bar Association; the International Law Association; and the Arab Association for International Commercial Arbitration.
